Silly Scarecrows
Kids are so creative!
I have been quite blessed with two children who are more than happy to test the prototypes for Quality-Kids-Crafts.com. They are also generally patient with me when I spend more time than I had planned at the computer due to those “little” html bumps in the road. Okay, sometimes they are not and I find myself wondering how in the world coloring on light gray carpet could seem like a good idea to anyone.
Last week; however, I was delighted and surprised to be visited by two scarecrows. My six- and eleven-year-old children once again showed me that creativity manifests itself in many different ways. So, I thought I would post a not-so-subtle reminder that not all crafts are printable!
Along with craft supplies, be sure to keep lots of fun props on hand for impromptu parades, fashion shows and yes, scarecrow impersonations! An old suitcase, laundry basket or even a cardboard box can serve as storage for old scarves, hats, fabric and other assorted prospective superhero attire. You might even consider this great resource if you have ever wanted to learn about face painting (as opposed to the washable markers my “models” are sporting).
Above all; have fun and take lots of pictures (they’ll come in handy when you want to embarrass them when they’re older).
very nice
